I have more than four years of experience in writing administration across multiple positions. In alignment with the Council of Writing Program Administrators' statement, Evaluating the Intellectual Work of Writing Administration, I recognize and explicitly engage in in applied areas of administrative work that require disciplinary expertise, such as program creation, curricular design, faculty and graduate student development, and program assessment, in addition to my work in the scholarship of administration.

Manage English composition staff of 27 part-time faculty and 12 graduate assistants and provide support for 11 full-time faculty who teach composition; Interview and hire part-time faculty to teach ENGL 1541, 1549, 1550/1550H, 1551/1551H; Provide initial and ongoing professional development and mentoring for composition instructors; Resolve student/instructor issues; Create proposals for composition course redesign; Resolve requests for transfer credit; Develop, implement, and assess composition policies and courses; Co-Chair the Composition Committee.

Served as the project manager for writing courses in the Arizona State Prison, a faculty guest lecture series in the prison, new volunteer outreach, and website design. Co-taught several first-year writing courses to incarcerated students.

Within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management/Academic Initiatives and Student Success, provided ongoing development, training, discipline-based support, and mentoring to newly-hired and returning peer tutors. Developed new writing resources and services using writing center effective practices. Interviewed and hired tutors. Collaborated with student success services, the Writing Program, and other campus entities to develop and deliver writing support.
Graduate Assistant Director, The University of Arizona Writing Program

Designed and facilitated an ethnographic research project that provided data on students’ perceptions of their own learning, according to the writing program’s learning outcomes. Coordinated an external review by the Council of Writing Program Administrators’ Consultant-Evaluator Service and served on the Writing Program Assessment and Curriculum committee.
